This issue features a cover with pencils by Ed Hannigan and inks by Joe Sinnott. The main story, "And Along Came... Ms. Marvel!", features a script by Chris Claremont and Gerry Conway (plot), with pencils by George Tuska (pages 1-6, 11-30) and Dave Cockrum (pages 7-10, 31), and inks by Dan Green.
A.I.M. captures the Hulk, intending to brainwash him and weaponize him against Ms. Marvel. However, the Defenders, alongside Ms. Marvel, intervene, rescuing the Hulk and thwarting A.I.M.'s plans. The issue also includes a one-page Hostess ad, "Spider-Man Spoils a Snatch," with pencils by Ross Andru, and a letter to the editor from comics writer Kurt Busiek and comics historian Peter Sanderson.
