Michaelangelo finds himself in feudal Japan, separated from his brothers and wandering through the woods. He encounters a noble family—Toshiro and his children, Sakai and Tai—who are fleeing the tyranny of Daimyo Orkai. When Orkai’s son, Tachi, arrives to kidnap Tai and secure her father's lands, Mikey intervenes, fighting through an army of henchmen and navigating the supernatural traps of an evil sorcerer to rescue the princess. After the villains are banished and the throne is reclaimed, Mikey chooses the lonely path of a wandering ninja over a life of luxury with Tai. However, the epic conclusion is revealed to be a work of fiction penned by Michelangelo in his journal, leaving him to wonder if his storytelling is perhaps a bit too "corny" for his feline friend, Klunk.
