In a twist of fate, Jack's motorcycle is stolen in New York City, with the thief taunting him through a series of reappearances. Distracted and desperate to recover his ride, Shadowman is reluctantly drawn into a mission to stop a notorious drug kingpin. With the aid of Dr. Mirage and his wife, Carmen, Shadowman successfully dismantles the drug operation. However, his victory is short-lived. His motorcycle is found destroyed, and the supposed "thief" is revealed to be the enigmatic Sandria Darque. Before disappearing, she leaves him with a cryptic message, beckoning him to return to New Orleans.
