A home permanent gone wrong leaves Betty with "fried" hair, forcing her to navigate her social life while dealing with the fallout of the improperly applied chemicals. However, her spirits are lifted when a prestigious literary magazine accepts her poetry for publication. While Betty is over the moon, a jealous Veronica Lodge remains unconvinced, loudly theorizing that the magazine must have the wrong Betty Cooper in their files.
