The legendary She-Devil with a Sword ventures into the dark heart of the "Temple of Abomination," picking up the trail of a harrowing journey that began in the pages of Kull and the Barbarians. Within the crumbling stone walls, Sonja finds herself hunted by a savage tribe of Satyrs. These ancient, lustful horrors test the limits of her steel and her resolve, forcing the warrior to carve a path through a gauntlet of mythological terrors to survive the desecrated sanctuary.

The steel-tempered Hyrkanian soon finds that the treachery of men is often deadlier than the fangs of monsters. After successfully retrieving a royal tiara for King Ghannif, Sonja returns to claim her promised bounty. Instead of gold or glory, the King attempts to force her into his private harem as a permanent "reward." Outraged by the betrayal and the insult to her vow, Sonja must fight her way out of the palace, proving to the King that no crown is worth the wrath of a woman who refuses to be mastered.
