The heat is on as Spider-Man and the Angel find themselves targeted by their own ally, Iceman. Under the sinister brainwashing of the villainous Clark, Bobby Drake has forgotten his heroic roots and is determined to put his friends on ice—permanently. Spidey and Angel must find a way to break the mental conditioning without hurting their chilly companion, all while dodging a blizzard of lethal ice constructs in a classic battle of mistaken loyalty.
In the back-up feature, Peter Porker faces a similar mental threat in the Larval Universe. Spider-Ham is forced into a desperate confrontation with the Punfisher, who has been mind-controlled into executing his former partner. As the villainous Tombstain orchestrates the chaos, the Ham must rely on his wits to dodge the Punfisher's weaponry long enough to snap his friend out of the deadly trance and "throw the book" at their true enemies.
