This issue is packed with classic MAD humor. In "Staying Awake," a parody of the film Staying Alive, a talentless youth attempts to make it big. Don Martin provides "One Lucky Morning on Friday the 13th," where a down-on-his-luck man finds some money. "What Parents Think...and What Kids Think..." by Tom Koch and Paul Coker Jr. offers a look at different perspectives.
Other features include Dave Berg's "The Lighter Side of ...," Antonio Prohias's "Spy Vs. Spy," and Sergio Aragones's "What Is a Hang-up?" You'll also find "Mad's Helpful Hints on Breaking Up with a Girl" and a parody of the TV show Newhart titled "Not-So-New-Hart." The issue concludes with a classic Al Jaffee Mad Fold-In and a back cover strip by Don Martin.
