A blood-soaked mystery unfolds in the streets of New York in "Taste of Power!" The story opens in a dark park where three gangsters attack an apparently helpless vagrant, only to unleash a terrifying creature of the night. The victim—a vampire suffering from severe amnesia—slays his attackers and discovers that drinking blood grants him fleeting flashes of his forgotten past. Determined to uncover his true identity, the creature sets off on a lethal feeding spree across the city.

Guided by the enigmatic Seer, Danny Ketch arrives on the scene and transforms into Ghost Rider to hunt down the bloodsucker. The pursuit leads to Lincoln Center, where the vampire breaks into the hidden basement headquarters of a covert intelligence agency. Recognized by the staff as their rogue operative "Night Terror," the vampire slaughters his former handlers for answers. Ghost Rider corners Night Terror inside the facility just as the agency triggers a self-destruct sequence. Pinning the vampire to a wall, Ghost Rider rescues the lone surviving employee before the base explodes, unaware that Night Terror has escaped into the sewer system as a cloud of mist.
