The Fantastic Four return to the Baxter Building after rescuing Agatha Harkness, only to find their headquarters under attack. Their old foe, Klaw, has teamed up with the Molecule Man to steal Reed's Psi-Amplifier. Klaw, seeking revenge, and the Molecule Man, hoping to solidify his possession of a human host, overpower the team. Despite their efforts, the Fantastic Four are defeated. Just as the villains succeed, the Impossible Man intervenes, turning the tide of the battle. However, in the chaos, the Molecule Man possesses Reed Richards, leaving the fate of the Fantastic Four and the world hanging in the balance.
