Ratchet races to repair Starscream on Cybertron under Megatron's watchful eye, while Optimus Prime faces Scorponok on Earth. Hot Rod returns to aid Prime, and Optimus attempts to reason with Zarak. Ratchet, anticipating Megatron's betrayal, triggers an explosion to escape and finds Starscream sent to Earth. On Earth, Blackjack nearly plants all bombs on the Ark but is thwarted by a reanimated Kup, setting off the countdown. Starscream arrives on Earth, ready for destruction, just as Zarak starts to believe Optimus Prime.
