The Transformers More Than Meets The Eye #46 (1988)

In this action-packed issue, the mysterious Z Foundation recruits a team of human mercenaries, dubbed the Roadjammers, to test out experimental "jamming" devices capable of paralyzing Transformers. Their very first targets are the Autobot Sparkabots—Sizzle, Fizzle, and Backstreet—who have just been forcefully sent via the Space Bridge from their captivity on Cybertron directly to Earth.

The human mercenaries ambush the disoriented Sparkabots on the open highway, successfully using their specialized devices to render the Autobots totally inert. However, the victory is short-lived when the enigmatic Mr. Z steps out of the shadows and reveals his true identity as the Decepticon Lord Zarak. Zarak exposes that he merely used the Roadjammers to test his new anti-jamming technology for the Decepticons, ultimately leading to a turn of events where the Autobots are freed and confiscate the jamming tech from the betrayed humans.
