The cosmic status quo is shattered as Galactus appoints Morg the Executioner, a merciless butcher from a medieval world, as his latest Herald, granting him the Power Cosmic. Unlike his predecessors, Morg uses his god-like abilities with sadistic efficiency, prompting the Silver Surfer and Firelord to form an uneasy alliance to stop him. Their mission is twofold: they must liberate Nova from her forced service and prepare for a direct confrontation with a power that rivals their own. As the two heroes track the Devourer's ship, they realize that Morg's sheer ruthlessness makes him one of the most dangerous entities they have ever faced.
