A powerhouse trio of Image Comics' most iconic and gritty anti-heroes takes center stage in this action-packed anthology showcase. The issue opens with a bizarre and frantic tale starring the Maxx, who finds himself desperately fleeing from Ret'qark'n—a towering, mythical mountain entity belonging to the ancient God Clan. In a desperate bid to escape, the Maxx phases straight out of the dream realm and materializes right on the floor of Julie Winters's apartment. As the disoriented hero tries to catch his breath, Julie barely blinks, launching into one of her signature long-winded, rambling monologues about his chaotic habits and her own daily stresses.

The energy shifts into total comedic mayhem as Bloodwulf goes on an absolute rampage across a outer-space outpost. When a foolish tavern patron makes the fatal mistake of insulting Bloodwulf's grandma, the heavily armed bounty hunter utterly razes the entire small moon to the ground. Humorous over-the-top violence ensues, complete with cheeky visual cameos from a couple of uncanny, gun-toting galactic badasses who look suspiciously like DC's Lobo and Marvel's Cable. Finally, the tone turns grim and tactical with the opening chapter of a new Deathblow saga. Driven by deep-seated personal revenge, Michael Cray gears up and hits the warpath, hunting down the ruthless operative responsible for murdering his former partner years ago.
